As everyone is aware, Adobe is extending its certification framework to recognize different levels of expertise. Based on the portal information, there are 3 levels of certification and this post focuses on Adobe Analytics deliberately than any other.
Level 01: Adobe Certified Professional (minimum of 0-12 months of experience)
Level 02: Adobe Certified Expert (minimum of 1-3 years of experience)
Level 03: Adobe Certified Master (minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience)

As on 31 May 2020, Adobe Certified Professional Certification has not been launched by Adobe. If there are any updates, this article will be revised for everyone’s benefit.
Level 02: Adobe Certified Expert (minimum of 1-3 years of experience)
Adobe Certified Expert is applicable to 2 different roles in Adobe Analytics – (i) Developer (ii) Business Practitioner.
What defines the developer role? You are a technical consultant who develops and implements solutions under the supervision of an architect. You likely participate in technical activities, such as developing solution-specific code or building workflows and components to be added to a website based on provided strategies.
What defines the business practitioner role? You are a business consultant who gathers business requirements, analyzes current workflows, and provides guidance to technical consulting teams to achieve desired business outcomes. You may be engaged directly with client marketing teams and help with optimization of the solution and business workflow.
Validity: Both the certifications are valid only for 2 years from the date of certification.
Requirement: There is no minimum requirement needed to appear for both the exams. Whoever wants to attempt the exams can schedule the exam in Certification Metrics portal.
Exam Number & Name: (i) AD0-E201 Adobe Analytics Developer (ii) AD0-E202: Adobe Analytics Business Practitioner.

Number of Questions & Duration: (i) 60 questions and 120 minutes for Developer (ii) 69 questions and 120 minutes for Business Practitioner.
Passing Score: (i) 68.33% or 550 using a scaled score format for Developer (ii) 69.57% or 550 using a scaled score format for Business Practitioner.
Price: (i) 180$ – Online proctored (requires camera access) or test center proctored. (ii) 180$ – Online proctored (requires camera access) or test center proctored.

Level 03: Adobe Certified Master (minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience)
Adobe Certified Master is applicable to only 1 role on Adobe Analytics – (iii) Architect.
What defines the architect role? You provide guidance on design and implementation approaches for solutions relating to specific business requirements, current infrastructure, technical capabilities, and constraints. You understand related legacy systems and how specific solutions would support existing information architectures and business processes. You also share recommendations to developers on best practices and ensure oversight on development approaches.
Validity: Valid only for 2 years from the date of certification.
Requirement: You should clear at the least one role in Adobe Certified Expert (Level 02) and hold an active certification on the same. It can be either (i) Business Practitioner or (ii) Developer under Adobe Certified Expert (Level 02). Whoever wants to attempt the exams can schedule the exam in Certification Metrics portal.

Passing Score: (iii) 67.14% or 550 using a scaled score format for Architect.

Other important notes
- If you have already achieved an Adobe Certified Expert level as an Architect, your certification (if active and not expired) will be automatically re-leveled to Adobe Certified Master beginning in May 2020.
- There will no longer be an Expert level certification for Architects, only a Master level certification.
- Exams can be scheduled at either PSI or Examity inside Certification Metrics portal.
- Adobe Professional Certificates are right now issued to the professionals who complete the on-demand courses in Solutions Portal, expecting clarity from Adobe on the same, will update once received.
